Insurance & Savings Ombudsman: Brand and Visual Identity
The Insurance and Savings Ombudsman (ISO) identified the need for a refreshed brand and visual identity for their organisation based on a review that accessibility and engagement with the Scheme needed to be improved.
The ISO Scheme is a leading financial dispute resolution agency, and the new visual identity needed to reflect an organisation that is independent, inclusive, supportive and empowering to complainants. The design elements needed to depict the balance and symmetry of the dispute resolution process, as well as highlight the financial services they provide with the inclusion of the $ sign symbol.
The new ISO Scheme logo features four core elements, the symbol, name, primary colours and the typeface. The symbol easily reflects the balance of the organisation through its simple design and use of colour, as well as including the dollar sign theme in an abstract form.
A range of imagery was also established as part of the refreshed visual identity, representing the work and environment that the ISO lives and works in. The imagery includes Chatham Island forgetmenots, Tui feathers, paua shells, flax flowers and a native tree branch, all native New Zealand flora representing inclusion, support and the journey through life.
The new look and feel enhances usability through warmth and clarity, making it easier and more enjoyable for key audiences to reach and engage with the ISO scheme. We are really proud of our work with the ISO Scheme and feel we have delivered a brand and visual identity that reflects their organisation and everything they do, very clearly.
