Local Government Commission: Visual identity, Web Development
We worked with the Local Government Commission (LGC) to develop a visual identity that would provide a refreshed platform for them to work from.
The visual identity was developed alongside the website, with the aim to create a mark that their audience and stakeholders could identify LGC by, and a base from which to design the website from.
Our objective for the visual identity and logo was to create a typographical lockup that works with the Coat of Arms, that is traditional and authoritative yet fresh and individual, exploring a range of illustrative graphical elements. We looked to user research and conducted stakeholder workshops in order to really understand the key audience group and what was going to resonate with them and what they were most likely to engage with before we begun.
The final LGC logo lockup is clear and simple, with the chosen colour palette providing a fresh brand personality for LGC. The identity is relatable and clearly represents the LGC and what they do. As part of the visual identity, we also developed a range of illustrative elements, featuring abstract maps and the supporting colour palette.
The website makes great use of all of the established visual elements and is user friendly with a responsive design. We are very proud of our work with LGC and it has been great working with them to fully refresh their identity and provide a new website that will enable them to grow in the future and engage their audiences.
What we did for LGC: Visual identity, Logo Suite, User Experience (UX), Web Design, Web Development, engaged through the CWSP and delivered using Silverstripe.
